Smarter, more contextual search

Starts at 9:57

We know your first competitive advantage is your network. The second is your speed, especially when it comes to sourcing new opportunities or picking up a live deal. But when names overlap and profiles look similar, too much time gets spent validating records instead of advancing them.

That’s why we redesigned Affinity’s global search experience to give you the confidence and clarity to act faster, with less friction.

Make faster deal decisions with more context

Our new search result preview panel provides rich profile context without clicking away from your workflow. Now, when you hover over a person, organization, list, or note, you’ll see the following relationship status badges:

  • Never contacted: No history with your team.
  • Losing touch: No activity in 3+ months.
  • Recently contacted: A touchpoint in the last 30 days.
  • Last contact details: Date, participants, and channel (respecting privacy settings).
  • Entity connections: See which notes, lists, reminders, and deals are tied to the record.
  • Scrollable note previews: Skim full note text directly in the preview panel.

Whether you’re confirming a startup founder versus an LP with the same name, or verifying if your team has already engaged a promising company, this update cuts down search time and eliminates costly back-and-forth validation.

We’ve also made further backend ranking enhancements that have resulted in a 14% drop in re-initiated searches, including:

  • Expanded top matches: Surface the right records more effectively.
  • Preview notes in-line: No more clicking in and out to view full context.

Mobile, reimagined

Starts at 11:40

Work doesn’t start and stop at your desk. Our mobile updates focus on speed, shareability, and easier access.

  • New features in the iOS App: Deep linking and enhanced notification center.
  • WhatsApp web compatibility: You can now access Pathfinder next to WhatsApp Web.
  • Coming Soon: Face ID and a bespoke iPad-optimized experience.

Cleaner data for smarter decisions

Starts at 13:16

High-quality data powers every relationship and opportunity in Affinity. We introduced major improvements across the board. Our new tools reduce duplication, surface key context faster, and improve overall data accuracy.

LinkedIn headcount column

Evaluating company size is one of the fastest ways to assess fit, especially when sourcing startups or curating a prospect list. We introduced a new LinkedIn Headcount column that displays the most recently listed employee count on a company’s LinkedIn page. Users can enable it from the column picker on any list.

This enriched field is available to all Affinity users and is now available across:

  • Affinity Sourcing
  • Lists (Sheets and Kanban)
  • Company and opportunity profiles
  • Affinity Pathfinder and Mobile
  • Affinity Analytics
  • API and CSV exports

Bulk merge and unmerge for people

To help Admin and Enterprise Admin users manage CRM cleanup at scale, we launched the ability to:

  • Bulk merge duplicate people profiles using Intelligent Match or Name Match.
  • Track merge activity by status.
  • Preview record details side-by-side.
  • Undo merges with a single click.

Smarter organization matching

We also expanded our duplicate detection logic to include identical domain matches, domain redirect matches, and name-based organization matching. Now, you can also bulk merge and unmerge for organizations. Combined with profile preview panels, these enhancements simplify org-level review and cleanup.

Looking ahead, we’re focused on API endpoints for managing duplicates directly within your internal systems.

Expanded integrations and API capabilities

Starts at 16:16

We’re strengthening the connective tissue across your tech stack with new features, beta opportunities, and integrations, including:

  • First write capability: Edit fields on lists via API v2
  • Read emails API (closed beta): Export all email interaction data in bulk—no filters required—with improved data structure. Currently available to a small group of testers.
  • Read meetings API (a closed beta is coming soon): We’re rolling out a new interaction endpoint for accessing meeting data via API to select testers.
  • New and upcoming integrations: We released 18 new integrations, including Fireflies, Gatsby, WhaleSync, Zams—and coming soon, Carta, Mantle, Gumloop, Glean, and many more.
  • What’s next? Admin controls, API versioning, logging, usage audits, and multiple keys.

We’re continuing to enhance our API capabilities, with upcoming support for features like rich text formatting, image uploads, and a centralized Notes Center to streamline how teams capture and organize deal context.

Notes that are easier to scan and use

Starts at 18:40

Affinity’s notes capabilities are getting even more powerful with faster load times and easier navigation. You can also see notes inline on profiles with counts by type. Lastly, in the future, you’ll be able to use rich text editing, images, and a centralized Note Center.

Affinity Sourcing: Drive results with signal-led, network-driven sourcing

Starts at 19:45

Traditional sourcing methods can be costly, time-intensive, and still miss the signals that matter. Affinity Sourcing changes that. It brings together your network, growth signals, and CRM data to help you discover and act on emerging deals earlier with sharper timing, less effort, and better results.

Move from discovery to deal in one place

Affinity Sourcing combines a curated universe of 200,000+ investment-relevant companies with advanced filters, custom scoring, and watchlist alerts—all tailored to your thesis.

Key capabilities include:

  • Custom growth scores: Prioritize companies using your own algorithm.
  • Advanced filtering: Search by stage, sector, growth profile, and more.
  • Real-time alerts: Add companies to Watchlists to get notified on key inflection points.
  • CRM context at a glance: See relationship history, strongest connections, and team touchpoints. Take action on your pipeline without switching tools.
  • Profile previews: Validate opportunity relevancy and strength before engaging.

Top firms like MassMutual Ventures are sourcing deals 5x faster than before and surfacing stronger-fit opportunities earlier in the lifecycle.

Get the biggest ROI from your sourcing investment

Integrated directly into the Affinity platform, Affinity Sourcing turns discovery into action. You can:

  • Add companies to your pipeline with one click.
  • Leverage your team’s strongest warm intros.
  • Avoid duplication or missed connections by viewing CRM and Sourcing context together.
  • Skip the cost and complexity of building custom tooling.

It’s sourcing powered by relationships, timing, and signals—not guesswork.

What’s coming next?

Starts at 35:12

We’re rebuilding Affinity’s list infrastructure to support more powerful workflows across pipeline tracking, sourcing, LP management, and more. Currently in Alpha, the new experience includes logos and avatars for companies and people, and refined cell viewers and field overview cards.

Looking ahead, Affinity’s focused on laying the groundwork for a next-generation, AI-first Affinity. This includes:

  • Combining deal and relationship data for insights.
  • Custom objects and relational fields, like funds.
  • Enterprise controls, including granular permissions for larger teams.
