Affinity Notetaker

A significant reason users love Affinity is because of its automation. With Affinity, deal teams don’t have to spend time and energy on manual data entry like creating and updating people and company records. Affinity Notetaker takes this to the next level by turning the discussion in a virtual meeting into structured and detailed meeting notes and transcripts that are synced to the related people and company records. This level of automation makes it easier for deal teams to not only capture but return to and share key information to inform faster decision-making.

API v2: List and Field Data Retrieval

Data-driven investors are always on the lookout to improve the performance of their tech stack. We’ve heard from customers that their goals are to efficiently connect their most critical data to inform decision-making and use data to create a larger, stronger relationship network.

Our API v2: List and Field Data Retrieval update makes the experience of pulling list and field data from the Affinity CRM 100x more efficient, which enables the advanced use cases of customers that work with complex data warehouses and sets of tools. This is the first in a series of API upgrades focused on providing customers with an integration experience that is more intuitive, reliable, secure, and efficient.

Inferred Connections

At Affinity, our priority has long been to help firms map out their shared network of relationships. In the dealmaking environment a warm introduction can be the difference between getting into a funding round or getting a commitment from an LP.

With Inferred Connections, every user’s network just got bigger. Now you not only see the network of people you and your team have interacted with in meetings and email, but also their additional network of former colleagues from previous firms and roles—all without lifting a finger.

Collaborator Seats

A big differentiator and point of pride for investors is the support they offer their portfolio companies. Support can look like anything from introducing a founder to their next great hire, an investor for their next series raise, or providing intel about potential customers. Now, Affinity users can invite external people—like founders, Limited Partners, or co-investors—to view a people, company, or deal list for all of their collaborative endeavors.

In addition to portfolio support, Collaborator Seats can be used as a critical tool in providing real-time deal flow updates or working with co-investors on a target list of deals.

Formula Fields

With the frequency and volume at which investors need to perform calculations on metrics across every stage of a deal, it’s vital that this process is as efficient as possible. Our new Formula Fields allow your team to perform simple calculations across multiple fields directly within your Affinity lists. This ensures that your most important dynamic insights are accurate, up to date, and readily available across your team—so you can all focus more time on value-driving activities and relationship management.

Employee Growth Insights

Affinity Data has become a regular way in which Affinity users monitor the growth of prospective investments and their portfolio companies. Now, users have a new interactive section on company profiles inside the Affinity CRM. This allows you to track the growth of a company’s headcount, dive into the composition of employees by seniority or job function, and also track this data by count, YoY, QoQ, and MoM. No longer do users have to find, compile, and visually present this data to get to important answers on headcount and hiring.
